Exterior design: "Understated, yet undeniable"
Unveiled by Hyundai on October 19, 2026, the Elantra N Monochrome is a limited edition of the Elantra N that expresses Hyundai N's racing heritage with restraint. The Elantra N's usual red accents give way to monochrome exterior accents and body-colour details. The front and rear bumpers, side sills, brake calipers and rear diffuser are revised to highlight the car's shape rather than contrasts.
The new exclusive forged wheels, in a black finish, are reserved for this edition. The carbon fibre rear spoiler and mirror caps come on every Canadian Monochrome. The result: a sedan that blends in at the Quartier DIX30 parking lot, yet shows its true character the moment you accelerate onto Highway 10.
A Canadian exclusive signed by Mark Wilkins
Each of the 50 units sold in Canada includes a Canadian-market-exclusive under-hood plaque and a framed collector's letter. Both are signed by Mark Wilkins, Canadian racing driver, IMSA TCR champion and Bryan Herta Autosport factory driver in the Elantra N TCR.
For South Shore enthusiasts, it's a chance to own a rare Elantra N with a direct link to motorsport. Don't mix them up: the Elantra N Monochrome and the 2026 Elantra N TCR Edition are two separate limited editions.
Alcantara cabin and manual-only gearbox
Inside, the Monochrome gets its own exclusive Alcantara steering wheel with black-finish buttons, plus Alcantara on select cabin elements. It keeps all the equipment of the Elantra N manual, including the dual 10.25-inch screens and the N drive modes accessible from the steering wheel.
In Canada, the Elantra N Monochrome is offered exclusively with the 6-speed manual transmission with rev matching, which Hyundai Canada describes as the purest driving experience in the Elantra lineup. A purist's choice, to feel every gear change on the Highway 30 ramps or on the roads toward Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.
Mechanicals: all the performance of the Elantra N
Questions?The Monochrome uses the engine and suspension of the 2026 Elantra N manual without changes: a 2.0L turbocharged direct-injection 4-cylinder producing 276 hp and 289 lb-ft, with front-wheel drive. The Elantra N is equipped with an electronic limited-slip differential (e-LSD), electronically controlled suspension and a variable exhaust valve. According to Hyundai Canada, it goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds with launch control.
In the trunk, the rear stiffness bar remains visible: it stiffens the body for sharper steering. The Elantra N Monochrome stays a sports car you can live with every day, from your commute to Montreal over the Samuel De Champlain Bridge to track days.
A sports car that doesn't shout
No red accents, no loud contrasts: the Monochrome blends into Taschereau Boulevard traffic during the week and reveals itself on weekends. N performance, without drawing every eye.

Is the Elantra N Monochrome available with an automatic transmission?
No. In Canada, it comes with the 6-speed manual only. If you want an automatic, the regular 2026 Elantra N is available with the 8-speed N DCT dual-clutch transmission.
Is it more powerful than the regular Elantra N?
No. The 276-hp, 289 lb-ft 2.0L turbo engine and the suspension are the same as on the 2026 Elantra N manual. The differences are in styling and equipment: forged wheels, carbon fibre, monochrome styling and Alcantara.
Who is Mark Wilkins?
Mark Wilkins is a Canadian racing driver, IMSA TCR champion and Bryan Herta Autosport factory driver in the Elantra N TCR. He signs the under-hood plaque and framed collector's letter included with every Elantra N Monochrome sold in Canada.
Can the Elantra N Monochrome handle winter on the South Shore?
Yes, with good winter tires. It is front-wheel drive with an electronic limited-slip differential. Note: on the Elantra N, remote start is not available with the manual transmission. Our tire department can recommend the right winter package.
