Service General Manager
Job description

We are looking for a passionate and experienced General Service Director to drive our after-sales service department, optimize our operations and provide outstanding service to each of our customers.
Your responsibilities:
- Supervise the service manager and the mechanical workshop foreman.
- Coach, motivate and develop a team of technicians and service advisors in order to meet quality, productivity, profitability and customer satisfaction objectives.
- Assess current processes, identify improvement opportunities and implement concrete solutions to increase operational efficiency.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Optimize workflow, appointment scheduling and priority management in order to maximize the shop's capacity and reduce turnaround times.
- Manage all aspects related to occupational health and safety.
- Ensure compliance with standards, procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure rigorous management of warranties, operating costs and department profitability.
- Deliver an exemplary customer experience and handle more complex situations with professionalism.
- Actively contribute to employee development by promoting ongoing training, engagement and a culture of excellence.
Desired profile
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a management or leadership role within an automotive service department.
- Unifying leadership, team spirit, excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire colleagues.
- Strong sense of organization, analysis, decision-making and occupational health and safety.
- Excellent communication and change management skills.
- Good command of management tools (DMS, CRM, warranties, SERTI) as well as the operations of a service department.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with the sales, parts and management departments.
- Relevant training in management, automotive technology, industrial engineering or any other equivalent field. OHS (Occupational Health and Safety) training is an asset.
