Service General Manager

Position Summary

Brossard Hyundai, a well-established automotive dealership on the South Shore of Montreal, is seeking the ideal person, passionate and results-oriented, to lead our service department. The selected individual will demonstrate strong leadership, excellent team management skills, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. This role consists of optimizing operations, supervising and developing the existing team, and ensuring that our quality and safety standards are respected.

Main Responsibilities

  • Supervise, support, and continue the development of the service manager (appointment scheduling, service advisors).
  • Supervise and continue the development of the shop foreperson to increase productivity, ensure compliance with health and safety rules, and enhance technician engagement.
  • Ensure the profitability and operational efficiency of the service department.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve and exceed financial objectives.
  • Introduce initiatives to raise customer satisfaction levels.
  • Track and analyze performance indicators (productivity, efficiency, CSI, etc.); propose and implement improvement plans.
  • Train, coach, and motivate teams to create a positive and excellence-driven work environment.
  • Maintain manufacturer quality standards and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Work closely with general management and other dealership departments to ensure a consistent, high-level customer experience as well as the development and growth of the after-sales service department.

Desired Profile

  • Proven management experience in the automotive sector, ideally in after-sales service.
  • Ability to analyze financial and operational data to make strategic decisions.
  • Inspiring leadership, focused on performance and collaboration.
  • Strong customer orientation and ability to resolve conflicts with diplomacy.
  • Knowledge of best practices in workshop management and health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and change management skills.
